Two Chinese among those arrested for running gambling den in Vietnam

Police in Vietnam's northern province of Quang Ninh have arrested two Chinese men and a Vietnamese woman for allegedly running a gambling den.
They said they broke up the den which was operating out of a house in Ha Long Saturday, and found four people gambling and 11 gambling machines.
They arrested 18-year-old Pham Thi Hong, who was working as the manager and cashier, and seized cash worth VND16.9 million (US$804.7) from her.
Further investigations led them to two Chinese nationals whose Vietnamese name were Chu Dao An, 26, and Vuong Hung Minh, 38.
The duo told the police they had entered Vietnam in October as tourists but were in fact brought in by another Chinese named Tran Kien Long to manage the den.
The police said they seized another VND100 million ($4,700) from the duo who admitted it was profit from the gambling operation.
Newswire Dan Tri said that Long, who is now in China, rented the house for the gambling operation since August, and the three were supposed to send the profits to him every month.
The case is being investigated.
