China ’s Foreign Ministry has announced the official visit of China ’s
Vice President Xi Jinping to Vietnam from Dec. 20-22, at the
invitation of Vietnam ’s Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan.
Spokesman Liu Weimin said that during the 61 years since the
establishment of diplomatic relations, Vietnam-China relations have
developed. Vietnam and China have built a comprehensive strategic
cooperative partnership and the stable development of cooperation has
brought practical benefits to the two countries’ people, he said.
China hopes that the visit will consolidate friendly
neighbouring relations and strategic confidence, boost real cooperation
and promote the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative
partnership.
During the visit, Vice President Xi
Jinping will hold talks with leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State.
The two sides will also sign cooperative documents in healthcare, trade
and information./.
