VietNamNet Bridge – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will attend the fourth Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS-4) Summit from December 19-20 in Myanmar.

PM Dung will also pay an official visit to Myanmar on December 21 at the invitation of Myanmar’s President Thein Sein.

* Prime Minister greets Lao health, telecoms ministers

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung yesterday, Dec 15, welcomed Lao Health Minister Eksavang Vongvichit and Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Hiem Phommachanh.

PM Dung said the talks between Vongvichit and Vietnamese Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien reflected the experience of sharing human-resource training, disease control and medical checks for people along the common border.

Vongvichit thanked Viet Nam for its help in training medical workers for Laos.

At a reception for the Lao Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Hiem Phommachanh, PM Dung confirmed his support for a plan to share experiences in the management of posts and telecommunications, human resource training and international co-operation in telecommunications.

The Lao minister said favourable conditions had been created for Vietnamese firms to invest in the posts and telecommunications sector in his country.
