Thanks to the exciting global gold market, the domestic price was pulled out of from the lowest level of past three months. Now one tael of gold is being sold at around 25.4 million dong in Vietnam. SJC price on Monday opened at 25.2-25.3 million dong/tael, but then climbed at higher 100,000-120,000 dong/tael.

SBJ pieced gold of Sacombank SBJ at 9 am February 8 was listed at 25.36-25.38 million dong/tael, rising by 40,000-60,000 dong/tael slightly compared with last Friday. Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau in Hanoi offered the gold selling price at 25.33-25.45 million dong/tael.

Enterprises recorded the sudden increase in gold sales during the last two days of previous week. Last Saturday the gold price inched up 20,000-30,000 dong/tael after losing by 1.2 million dong/tael on the previous day (Friday).

On Monday February 8, the gold price for future delivery climbed by nearly $20 at Globex Floor to a new threshold after falling by $65/tael in the previous three sessions. In Tokyo, the gold price on February 8 some times peaked at $1,073/ounce and now $1,067.3/ounce. At the same time, the gold outright price in Asian was priced at $1,066.8/ounce, up $1.80/ounce against last Friday.
