The State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) and the General Auditing Bureau (GAB)
of Saudi Arabia have agreed to step up the exchange of visits of
technical experts to broaden ties.
The agreement was reached by
the SAV’s General Auditor Vuong Dinh Hue and GAB President Osama Jafar Fqih during talks in Hanoi on July 30.
The two
agencies will now work and support each other in international events
and activities under the framework of the International Organisation of
Supreme Auditing Institutions (INTOSAI) and the Asian Organisation of
Supreme Auditing Institutions (ASOSAI).
The GAB President voiced his support for the SAV to host the 12th ASOSAI General Assembly in 2015.
He said he was impressed with the achievements and developments the SAV has recorded over the past 16 years.
This
was the first bilateral meeting held within the framework of the 42nd
meeting of the ASOSAI Executive Board, to be held in Vietnam on
August 4-5./.
