Petrol prices increase

A litre of A92 petrol increased to VND16,990 (US$0.91) from VND16,400 ($0.89) previously, while the price of A95 petrol rose to VND17,490 ($0.94) from VND16,900, the company said in its latest statement.

VietNamNet Bridge – The leading local petroleum importer, the Viet Nam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex), yesterday, February 21, raised retail petrol prices by VND590.

A litre of A92 petrol increased to VND16,990 (US$0.91) from VND16,400 ($0.89) previously, while the price of A95 petrol rose to VND17,490 ($0.94) from VND16,900, the company said in its latest statement.

Prices of diesel and fuel oil remained unchanged.

Yesterday, Sai Gon Petro also decided to increase its petrol price by VND550.

Other petrol importers such as Military Petroleum Co, PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PV Oil) planned to announce their petrol price adjustments.

The Petrolimex petrol price increase followed Government Decree No 84 which allows traders to peg petrol retail prices on the domestic market to global prices.

World oil prices dipped below $79 a barrel last week after the US Federal Reserve raised the rate it charges banks for emergency loans.
