Speaking upon his arrival, Vice President Xi Jinping affirmed China and Thailand are good friends and partners, saying the two countries’ relations have developed in a stable and sustainable manner during 36 years of diplomatic relations.
The two sides have been promoting cooperation in politics, trade and culture while maintaining close cooperation on regional and international issues, he said.
Within the framework of this visit, the Chinese Vice President will meet Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and hold talks with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and officials of the Thai National Assembly and Privy Council.
Thailand is the second and final destination in Xi Jinping’s Asia tour following his official visit to Vietnam. /.
