With an export turnover of over $6 billion in the first 11 months of this year, Vietnam's export of telephone and components has been included in the country's top three export items with the highest export turnover in Jan-November
As reported by the general Department of Vietnam Customs, Vietnam's export for telephone and spare parts in November was estimated at over $985 million, dong 2 percent from October, bringing the total accumulative figure in Jan-November to over $6 billion, rising 200 percent from the same period last year.
With such high export turnover, after the first 11 months of this year, telephone and components exceeded footwear to become export item with the third highest export turnover after apparel products (nearly $12.8 billion) and crude oil (over $6.7 billion). The country's export turnover of footwear in Jan-November fetched over $5.8 billion, slipping to the fourth position.
Meanwhile, Vietnam's import of telephone and components in November was estimated at over $327 million, lifting the total figure in Jan-November to over $2.3 billion, up 74 percent on year.
Thus, after the first 11 months of this year, the country posted a trade surplus of $3.7 billion for telephone and components.
