MPC estimates to gain whole year profit of 400b dong in 2011

Le Van Diep, vice general director of Minh Phu Seafood Group Joint Stock Co (coded MPC) announced lately that up to the end of 2011, MPC has exported 24,900 tonnes of frozen shrimp, bringing in total export turnover of 129.8 million, increasing by 19.72 percent in volume and 36.68 percent in value in comparison to the same period last year. At present, the company's largest export market was the US with total export value of $109.6 million, followed by Japan ($61 million), EU ($39.7 million), and South Korea ($37.3 million and Canada ($8.9 million) MPC expects to reach whole year export turnover of about $330 million and pre tax profit of about 400 billion dong by the end of this year. Therefore, in the last three year, MPC has been the leading seafood exporter in Vietnam with largest export turnover among all seafood exporters nationwide.
